Nutzungsbedingungen für FUSE
Stand: 16.10.2026 · Fassung 1 · English version below
2. Was du darfst
- eine Sicherungskopie (§ 69d Abs. 2 UrhG, Urheberrechtsgesetz);
- Fehler berichtigen: FUSE verändern und, wenn es dafür nötig ist, auch zurückübersetzen, um einen Fehler zu beheben, durch den FUSE nicht richtig funktioniert. Das gilt nur, soweit es für die Berichtigung nötig ist, und was du dabei herausfindest, darfst du nur dafür benutzen (§ 69d Abs. 1 UrhG);
- beobachten, untersuchen und testen, wie FUSE funktioniert, während du es ganz normal benutzt (§ 69d Abs. 3 UrhG);
Installiere also nur, was du für vertrauenswürdig hältst.
5. Deine Welten
8. Datenschutz
FUSE schickt uns keine Daten.
FUSE Terms of Use
As of: 16 Oct 2026 · Version 1 · Translation. The German version above is the binding one.
In short (the full text below applies):
- FUSE is free. You may download it and use it for yourself.
- You may not pass FUSE on, sell it, change it or take it apart. Anything the law allows you to do in any case, for example fixing errors, remains allowed. So do viewing and forking on GitHub (sections 2 and 3).
- Don't use FUSE for anything illegal, and follow the rules of Minecraft and of the servers you play on.
- Minecraft belongs to Mojang/Microsoft, and mods belong to their authors. FUSE is not official.
- FUSE is a free student project. Section 6 explains when we are liable if something goes wrong.
Under 18? Please read this together with your parents.
1. What this is about
FUSE is a free launcher (a start program) for Minecraft: Java Edition on Windows. FUSE is developed and published by TNTExplodiert ("we"). You agree to these terms with TNTExplodiert (your "contracting party"). FUSE is a private student project. It costs nothing and shows no ads, and we make no money from it.
NOT AN OFFICIAL MINECRAFT PRODUCT. NOT APPROVED BY OR ASSOCIATED WITH MOJANG OR MICROSOFT.
We are responsible for FUSE, not Mojang and not Microsoft. "Minecraft" is a trademark of Mojang/Microsoft.
These terms apply when you download and use FUSE. When you start FUSE for the first time, it shows you these terms and asks whether you agree. FUSE cannot be used without agreeing. If you don't agree, please don't use FUSE. The version that applies to you is the one you agreed to in FUSE. Later changes only apply to you once you agree to them (section 7).
2. What you may do
- Download FUSE from the official site (https://tntexplodiert.github.io/fuse/) or from GitHub (https://github.com/TNTExplodiert/fuse/releases) and use it for yourself on your own computers.
- Make the copies you need for that, plus one backup copy.
- Share the link to FUSE. Please do!
- View the public FUSE repository (the project folder on GitHub) and copy it with GitHub's "fork" feature (a fork is your own copy inside GitHub). GitHub's Terms of Service (section D.5) allow this for public repositories, and these terms do not change that. This only applies inside GitHub. Outside GitHub, section 3 applies.
- Show how you play with FUSE, for example in videos, streams or screenshots.
FUSE is free. That is why you have no claim to updates, to support, or to FUSE always working with every Minecraft version.
3. What is not allowed
- Passing on FUSE or parts of it, uploading it anywhere else, selling it or renting it out. Share the link instead. (Viewing and forking on GitHub remain allowed, see section 2.)
- Changing FUSE, building your own versions of it, or publishing FUSE (or anything taken from it) under your own name.
- Decompiling or disassembling FUSE (turning the finished program back into readable program code), or taking it apart in any other way to get at its program code ("reverse engineering").
Exception to no. 2 and 3: Anything the law mandatorily allows you to do remains allowed. This includes in particular:
- a backup copy (Sec. 69d (2) UrhG, the German Copyright Act);
- fixing errors: changing FUSE and, where necessary for this, decompiling it in order to fix an error that stops FUSE from working properly. This only applies as far as it is necessary for the fix, and you may only use what you find out for that purpose (Sec. 69d (1) UrhG);
- observing, studying and testing how FUSE works while you use it normally (Sec. 69d (3) UrhG);
- decompiling where this is indispensable to make an independently created program of your own work with FUSE or other programs ("interoperability", Sec. 69e UrhG).
If you find a bug, please report it via GitHub first (section 9). Then we can fix it for everyone.
- Getting around FUSE's protection and verification features, for example the check of update packages.
- Using the Microsoft sign-in ID built into FUSE ("client ID", the identifier FUSE uses to identify itself to Microsoft) in other programs.
- Using FUSE for anything illegal. Examples are pirated copies, other people's accounts without permission, attacks on servers and spreading malware.
- Using FUSE to break the rules of Minecraft (EULA, Minecraft's license agreement) or of a server, for example with cheat mods (X-ray, flying, aimbots) on servers that forbid them.
- Pretending FUSE comes from Mojang or Microsoft, or passing off anything else as FUSE or as "official FUSE".
If you don't follow these rules, you may no longer use FUSE. You are responsible for the consequences of your own rule-breaking, for example if a server, Mojang or Microsoft bans you for cheating.
4. Minecraft, mods and other providers
- You need your own purchased copy of Minecraft: Java Edition. FUSE downloads Minecraft and Java directly from Mojang, but it does not sell or give away Minecraft.
- "Play without an account" is only for singleplayer and LAN and does not replace buying Minecraft.
- Minecraft is governed by the Minecraft EULA (https://www.minecraft.net/eula), and your Microsoft account by the Microsoft Services Agreement (https://www.microsoft.com/servicesagreement). Sign-in happens directly at Microsoft.
- Mods, resource packs, shaders and modpacks (ready-made mod collections) come from Modrinth and belong to their authors. The loaders (programs that load mods into Minecraft: Fabric, Quilt, Forge, NeoForge) come from their own projects. Their own licenses and rules apply to all of these. We don't check this content, so only install what you trust.
- FUSE depends on these services. If Mojang, Microsoft, Modrinth, GitHub or the loader projects change something, a FUSE feature may stop working, including sign-in.
- FUSE contains components made by others, for example Python, pywebview, Pillow and Microsoft WebView2. Their own licenses apply to them (see
DRITTANBIETER.txtin the FUSE folder). These terms do not limit your rights under those licenses. - Microsoft and Mojang are not parties to these terms. Microsoft gives you no warranty (meaning no responsibility for defects) and accepts no liability for FUSE. This sentence only concerns Microsoft. It does not change our own liability (section 6).
5. Your worlds
Before a game starts, FUSE backs up your worlds if anything has changed (world backups, can be turned off in the settings). If a backup fails, the game still starts. These backups are stored in the same instance folder (the folder of this Minecraft installation in FUSE) as your worlds. So keep an extra copy of important worlds somewhere else as well.
6. If something goes wrong (liability)
We do our best, but we don't promise that FUSE is free of bugs or always works.
We let you use FUSE free of charge. Under German law, someone who provides something free of charge is liable to a lesser extent than someone who sells it. Therefore:
- We are only liable for intent (we cause damage on purpose) and gross negligence (we disregard very obvious care). We are equally liable for intent and gross negligence of someone we are responsible for (for example someone who works on FUSE with us). This also applies to damage caused by bugs in FUSE, for example to your worlds.
- So we are not liable for slight negligence (a small, everyday mistake).
- This limitation does not apply to harm to life, body or health or to liability under the Product Liability Act (the German law on liability for defective products). In those cases we are liable under the statutory rules.
7. Updates and new versions of these terms
- FUSE can update itself. To turn this on, enter the source
TNTExplodiert/fuseunder "Updates" in the settings. FUSE then looks for new versions on GitHub and downloads them, either automatically or only when you click, depending on your settings. An update is only installed when you close FUSE. - If we change these terms, the new version will be on the website and in the notes for the new FUSE version, with a new date. A new version only applies to you once you agree to it. FUSE shows it to you the next time you start it and asks you. Simply continuing to use FUSE does not count as agreeing. Until then, the previous version continues to apply to you.
8. Privacy
FUSE sends no data to us. Which services FUSE uses, what it uses them for, and what it stores on your PC is explained in the privacy notice: in FUSE under Settings > Launcher > "Datenschutz" (privacy) and on the FUSE website (https://tntexplodiert.github.io/fuse/datenschutz.html).
9. Contact
Questions, bugs and feedback: https://github.com/TNTExplodiert/fuse/issues (public)
E-mail, also for matters that should not be public: fuse@roemming.de
Post, including legal matters concerning FUSE: to the address in the legal notice (Impressum) on the FUSE website (https://tntexplodiert.github.io/fuse/impressum.html). The person named there operates the website and is the controller for data protection (section 8). Your contracting party under these terms remains TNTExplodiert (section 1).
10. Final points
- If any rule here is invalid, the others still apply.
- The German version is the binding one. The English version is a translation.
